DAY 1
GREATER TARANGIRE ECOSYSTEM
After a morning briefing you set off to the greater Tarangire eco system. A picnic lunch is taken on route and then you turn off onto rough tracks, After setting and checking your bike you set off and ride for 25km to Tarangire camp arriving in the afternoon. Once at the camp you can relax or take an optional nature walk with Maasai guides. Sundowners are taken around the camp fire.

DAY 2
TARANGIRE
For birders an early morning walk is highly recommended and after breakfast you set off in the safari vehicles to Tarangire National Park for a day's game driving. Armed with picnic lunches you have the times to explore the river systems and swamps that characterise Tarangire's ancient habitat's.

DAY 3
LAKE MANYARA
Today we rejoin our mountain bikes and with our knowlegable guides we head towards the rift valley. Farm lands and villages pass us by and for lunch we stop at a scenic spot before heading to Lake Manyara. Here we leave our bikes and game drive through the park, passing the hot springs and at least 6 different ecological zones. Elephants and tree climbing lions are a speciality here! In the late afternoon we head to our lodge.

DAY 4
NGORONGORO
From the rift valley you drive up through the Mbulu highlands to the Ngorongoro crater. Filled with around 20,000 large mammals Ngorongoro is a vast caldera that offers the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhino in this region. It is also home to massive old tuskers (elephants), lion and a very high population of hyaena. In the late afternoon we head back to the lodge.

DAY 5
RIFT VALLEY
This morning there is the option for a final ride or walk before we head back to Arusha (connect Zanzibar, Nairobi or international flights) or to Manyara airstrip to connect to the Serengeti or further afield.
